Conflict Resolution Policy

We all want everything to go smoothly. But if it doesn’t, we want to resolve any concerns fairly and respectfully. Our Conflict Resolution Policy outlines the steps to have your concerns heard and handled.

Refund Policy (Short-term Classes)

You can cancel your registration by contacting us through our message form or at one of our phone numbers by text message or voicemail. A refund or credit can be issued according to the following policy:

7+ Days From Class: Full refund
You have up to 7 (seven) calendar days from the scheduled date of a short-term class to be eligible for a full refund.

Under 7 Days From Class: Full credit
If you cancel your registration within the 7-day prior to the class start time cut off, you can request a credit for the fee paid. This credit can be applied to a future class and does not expire. A credit can be requested up to 24 (twenty-four) hours before the start of class.

Within 24 Hours of Class: No refund/credit
Within the 24-hour period before the start of class, a credit cannot be offered to you unless you have extraordinary circumstances such as accidental injury, medical emergency or a catastrophic event. Credit issued for this time period is at the sole discretion of The Other Acting School employees, agents and professional advisers.

In the event that a class is cancelled by The Other Acting School, a full refund will be issued to all students.

Refund Policy (Full-time Course)

Once you have registered for the full-time course, you are considered to have committed to the full 13-week term.

Refunds and credits will only be issued on a case-by-case basis considering all of our other policies.

Medical Withdrawal
If a student must discontinue the course for a medical reason, supported by a doctor’s assessment, a credit for the unused fees can be issued on a case-by-case basis, at the sole discretion of The Other Acting School employees, agents and professional advisers.

Outside Work
The curriculum of The Other Acting School is designed to allow students 3 (three) full days and 4 (four) evenings per week to engage in part-time employment. Work commitments that exceed this are strongly discouraged. Missing class for outside work is a breach of our Professional Conduct Policy. Quitting the course for outside work is not a valid reason to request a credit or refund.

Dismissal
If student has been asked to leave because of severe or repeated breaches of professional conduct (see the Professional Conduct Policy) or as the resolution of a conflict (see the Conflict Resolution Policy), the student may forfeit any rights to a refund or credit. This will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
