This is an “endowment game” where participants accept what other players offer them. Variations include allowing yourself to endow others with any emotions you want, such as one person makes you laugh, another makes you cry, a third makes you sad…
- Four to six players take a place in the prescribed performance area.
- They are given a location, such as a living room, county fair, doctor’s office…
- Each person silently endows another three people with the following traits. One is someone they love, another person is someone who’s made them angry, and a third person is someone they fear.
- Play out a very ‘normal’ scene in the environment. The relationships are based on how people respond to the others they’ve endowed. The scenes can be messy (and fun!), because everyone has been endowed by everyone else, so one person may love you, another fear you, another be mad at you.
- After some time, call the end of the scene when it feels right.
